Epiphone Embassy Pro - new colours!

I have read a lot about the bridge placement issue with these basses. My closest retailer was kind enough to send me pictures of the two embassies they have in stock. Does it look like these would have the intonation issues?

What is the deal with no passive tone knob?

The only P/J basses I found in my area (have about 3 different guitar-stores) were the fender elite basses and this MIM.

What is the deal with no passive tone knob?

sorry man, english is not my main language, so I mix up the words sometimes. Yes, it did have a passive/active switch. I'm not a huge gear-nerd and thought it was really stupid with a passive switch without the tone-knob, but I now understand that it mostly in case of a battery problem.

What is the deal with no passive tone knob?

Man thats sounds great. I really like having a passive bass and then fine tuning it with EQ later with either my equalizer pedal or my amp. I kinda feel like having three sets of EQ (bass, pedal, amp) is a bit overwhelming. And when the tone knobs are on my bass I usually end up fiddling with...

What is the deal with no passive tone knob?

Ye thats kinda the way I feel, as i play a lot of diffirent gigs I might have a gig where i need that EQ on the fly, but i just tought it was kinda weird that i didn't have a tone knob but I gues thats pretty usual.

What is the deal with no passive tone knob?

hmm, I haven't played to many basses with active/passive switches, but It does seem kind of pointless to me to play passve if there is no tone knob to shape the tone? I know Sandberg has passive tone knobs on their basses :)

What is the deal with no passive tone knob?

So I tried a brand new Fender precision MIM (deluxe or something can't remember what it was called but it was a 2016 model) bass in a store today. It had a preamp and a bridge pickup as well as the neck pickup. The guy in store told me it was supposed to emulate the fender elite p bass, but at a...

    Stripping bass sunburst

    Stripping bass sunburst

I recently bought a 2008 American jazz bass. I was thinking about stripping the sunburst of the body, I really enjoy a natural stain. How would I go about doing this, is it way to much work for what I'll get?

Figuring out what price range my next bass should be in.

Which one of these plans would you recommend for an aspiring bassist with a small steady income who wants a bass of higher caliber? 1. Save up for a normally priced pro bass, American Standard Fender, Gibson etc. (Might take me half a year-a year to save up enough money) 2. Save up for a...
