I want to put flats on my sx short scale and don't have enough experience with basses to know which guages to use. I'm getting into 'one drop' reggae stylee. La Bella makes "Deep Talking" flats in (light).043-.104, (med).049-.109, and (extra light).039-.096 Any recommendations would be helpful...

Intonating the E string on my sx short scale is impossible because there is no more room to crank the saddle further back. Thinking I need to mount the brigde about 1/4 inch back. Anyone else have this experience - had to move it further back??? b

good question lowend1...does that mean i should loosen it more to see if I hit resistance? And then back it off from there? b
