right, but this got out of hand technically, I'm but a simple bass player,... how do you judge a speaker cabs loudness by the numbers available? And I still stand by what I said, with efficiency the same, the speakers with less wattage will be louder than a speaker with more wattage at a given...

What you said just supported my statement, the lower wattage cab will be louder!

Extension Cabinet on Peavey TNT Tour

I'll try to explain,.. got an amp putting out 200 watts and a 200 watt speaker,... hook-up a 50 watt speaker and it will be screaming for a while, till it burns-up! 10 watts in a 500 watt speaker, hardly hear it,... takes power to move it. Real life test, my combo amp with 8 ohm Hartke 2-10...

If you run a 250 watt speaker with 200 watts and a 500 watt speaker at 200 watts, the 250 will be a lot louder.

Yes, it can go both ways. I don't know what the power rating is on the 15in speaker, and the output of the amp has an inflated 600 watts rating, but I have read it is 300 at 8ohms and 450 at 4ohms. My point is to match the ext cabinet working watts to the original 15in working watts so they...

Extension Cabinet on Peavey TNT Tour

I'm running a Peavey TNT Tour and would like response on running an extension cabinet on it. I have run a Hartke 2-10 with it, and it really helped but the hartke cabinet was doing all the work do to it's wattage capability. it was maxed out before the Peavey 15 in. Anyone have experience on...

Looking for high tension rounds 35in scale 5 string

DR's were mentioned,.... lo riders or Sunbeams for a string that has high tension and bright out of those two? Well, low Riders are SS,... I haven't liked SS, they are not slick like nickle coated.

Looking for high tension rounds 35in scale 5 string

I am playing a 130 which I feel should really be a 125,... tension is the key, don't like floppy strings!
