Extension Cabinet on Peavey TNT Tour

No, Some 500 watt cabs are louder then the 350.
You missed the next line I said,

We are not trying to attack you, just inform you. Not all 210's with the same watts rating will be the same with their volume or frequency response.
right, but this got out of hand technically, I'm but a simple bass player,... how do you judge a speaker cabs loudness by the numbers available?
And I still stand by what I said, with efficiency the same, the speakers with less wattage will be louder than a speaker with more wattage at a given wattage (the case of my amp and an ext cab) so I want to get the two close as I can. I'm thinking of trying the Peavey Headliner 4-10 8ohm cab with my TNT Tour 15. Trying them together is the way but how would a guy match performance by the tech numbers?
 
Sensitivity: Sensitivity is most easily defined as the speakers' ability to effectively convert power into sound. The traditional way of measuring a speakers' sensitivity is using the standard of 1 watt/1 meter. Meaning a microphone is placed 1 meter away from the speaker to measure the sound output (in decibels) with 1 watt of sound played through it.

There is much room for error (or imposed error) with this type of measuring system and some manufacturers today take advantage of this

Now let's look at the Sensitivity Rating of a speaker, since many speakers are still rated this way today. Basically Sensitivity is the speakers' ability to efficiently use the amplifiers energy to create sound. This spec is rated in decibels (dB), but how it's measured is also important to know. Consider a speaker with a Sensitivity Rating of 87 dB. The standard for achieving this rating is 1 watt/1 meter. This means the speaker will produce sound at the volume of 87 dB, measured by a microphone placed 1 meter away when it's given the input power of 1 watt. (Typically, the input sound is 1 kHz.)
 
FYI most measure at 10 meters and calculate what the measurement would be at 1 meter with a true point source. As cabs don't act as point sources close up the real measurement at 1 meter would be quite a bit lower. Actually many don't even measure, they either make something up or use the number from a cab/speaker calculator :rollno:.
