    Thanks I might just try it, if I doesn't work , for future reference you can get a wiring kit on amazon with American pots for fender replacement p bass for around $15 to $20

    That's cool man I appreciate your help I'm going to open it up tomorrow and take a look it still sounds great other than the scratchy pots I'm very impressed with it especially since I only paid $60 for it at a pawn shop

    You wouldn't by chance know what kind of pots are in this off hand would mine are kind of scratchy and need replacing or if you know of any good mods this will be my first working on a bass not too familiar with set up if not I'm sure I'll figure it out
