Yeah I noticed that as well, most of his picking is done with the index finger and occassionally I'll see him throw the middle finger in as well. I guess Jamerson was similar?

I didn't know Eric Avery played with Alanis. Pretty weird considering her old bass player left to play with Janes as well.

My first bass was a MIM P-Bass and I hated it. I didn't like the way it sounded and the neck felt too big (I have small hands). I went to return it and get my money back. When I was there they had 2 70's MIJ Re-issue Jazz basses, one had a maple fretboard, the other one had a rosewood fretboard...

Yeah, I'm the same. Like on Sad But True there are a couple parts during the main riff where i can hear a low end rumble.

Some songs i can hear the bass and then I just sort of lose it along the way. My ears suck though. When I listen to a song I can only hear one thing at a time, if that makes any sense. For a split second the bass will stand out, then the drums, then the vocals etc. etc. I know a lot of people...
