Yes, at 8 ohms your power will be reduced to 500 watts but it's still super loud. I don't know about headphone use but you can record silently using the XLR output on the back. I love this head.

Can anybody recommend a good universal road case that will fit a Bassman 100T or know of the best place to get one made?

I've had my PF 500 and 210HE cab for about a year and a half now. I haven't played any gigs with it yet but it started cutting out yesterday at band rehearsal with the volume knob at noon. It's going up for sale today. Fender here I come.

I just purchased a used Duff McKagan Jazz Special off the Guitar Center website. I absolutely love the thing but it has the sharpest fret ends I've ever felt on a guitar. Does anyone think the fret ends can be sanded down without doing any damage to the lacquer finish on the neck?
