I am really enjoying them, they have such a nice punch to them that is very clear and pronounced. I think crisp and very present is a good description, maybe. They differ from the Aguilar ones...

Haha Ya thanks Mullins, I'll give that a shot, but mostly what you're seeing is the way the stupid black strings cast a shadow with that E string. It's not as bad in person as it looks! I'm super digging the natural maple on gold as well, I think it'd a fantastic combination!

Just an update - I got some geezer butlers and have almost finished putting the bass together. Just waiting on strings and a string tree, knobs, and then I need to cut a pocket for neck adjustment in the body.

So through a series of trades, I have ended up with a GK 1001rb ii head. I also have replaced the one bad 10 in the powerhouse, and she sounds back to normal. This gk is super cool, I feel like it actually sounds like I've always expected a gk to sound, whereas my MB500 just didn't - that head...

I love my Aguilars. Love love love them. I've never messed with any pre amps or anything. I'm also super curious to try the geezers, I can't wait to get them! I super appreciate all of the help from everyone! I'll certainly update after I get them.

The bass in question, in case anyone cares. Just got my roasted maple warmoth neck and ordered my gold hardware to match the babicz bridge. Pickups are next!

Oh man thats awesome, I have never seen that! I might just redo my warmoth wiring tonight to that. It sounds like something I would certainly be in to!

I have thought about lace, but for bass I know nothing of them. Their guitar stuff always sounded a bit too thin or tin-ny to me. I'll try some vids, thanks!
