    Why do so many players love flats?

    I first tried flats a year or so ago and I'm a convert. I love the thumpy tone, and I love the way they feel. I also love the added tension, but as to why, I cannot really say.

    I agree. Though I think no pickguard at all would be even better. Clear pickguards remind me of my grandma's plastic-covered couch.

    If I could use it as an excuse to practice while I'm the office, HECK YEAH. If boss says no, then it's a haaard pass.

    Which bass are you going to buy when you win the $1 billion+ lottery?

    I'd just buy the bass maker (Sandberg maybe?), not the bass. Then I can get any bass I can dream up made AND make more money (hopefully) and buy more bass companies and so on and so forth until I'm the Bezos of bass (Bazzos?).
