Interesting. The bridge on mine is like on my '78 4001, not like yours (that looks like Fender bridge, hence the previous owner's strange idea to add a JB p'up)

There's a sticker from a shop in Liverpool in both 'holes' where pickups are located. So maybe someone at the shop did the changes. it was very well made, through. It's not a neck-trhough, indeed. Do 4001s all have neck-through?

On Ricks, i don't think that the Serial number indicates the instrument. Just the month of manufacture (June 79). or did I miss smthg?

Thanks Eddy. Looks quite similar, except for the dark line that goos below on yours. I guess that my 4000 is a 4001S with the wrong name, probably they added a pickup at the last minute.

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

Hi all, I got a Rickenbacker 4000 yesterday (it's what it says on the head). June 79. But it has two pickups! It's very likely that the 2nd pickup was done at the factory. Is it a 4001S with the wrong headplate (but the tech guy wrote 4000 inside)? Or just a 4000 with 2 pickups? I don't...

    NBD-Eastwood EB-1

Hi all, I look all over Youtube, andi could find a video of the Eastwood bass. Crazy that Eastwood didn't even bother to make a video. I'd love to hear its sound!
