NBD-Eastwood EB-1

Indeed.

There's quite a few older tube (valve) amps that could get one into that ballpark. I've owned various Orange heads (the original ones, not re-issues) that brought that type of sound to the stage...and a loss of hearing (confirmed, verified, not kidding) to silly old me...:D

I love Felix's sound and playing and had a 2000S head years ago and actually it never impressed me very much, I used a Marshall Major head with the 2000S cabs and liked it a lot better. I use an SVT today and to get that sound I use a tube overdrive, the SVT is way too loud to overdrive.

I've never owned a Sunn amp of any kind, they were extremely uncommon in my old neck of the woods, but I do have some great memories of playing Marshall Majors....matched with two 4x15" cabs...

It's tough to argue with an SVT...:D

There's a V4B sitting in a bedroom 6,000 miles away waiting for me to retire and finally service it...but someone else will have to carry it to the elevator...;)

John Paul Jones makes it look psychedelic...

I've had my Eastwood Eb-1 since November and have been enjoying it a lot. Yesterday I finally got around to replacing the stock strings with some D'Addario Chromes, medium scale... only to find that the strings were too long! What? So I measured the scale length -- which Eastwood lists as 32" -- to find that it's actually 30.5"!!! Humpf! I'm actually pretty annoyed by this... in part because I wasted my money on (now opened) medium scale strings (anyone want them? Let me know!)... and in part because, come on. Get it right! Has anyone else had this experience? I have short scale strings coming in the mail...

I've just discovered this Eastwood EB-1 and I'm obsessing over it...
What would be the cherry on the cake would be the brown pickup cover like on the Gibson EB-1s!
Either way, I recently bought a Hofner violin bass but man, I'm so tempted to buy one of these!!
