Ooh yeah these Bacchus basses have an outstanding reputation and look fantastic (I love a colorful bass). Unfortunately they are very hard to come by in France. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a used one.

I have played it in passive mode a lot, but I think the pickups might have been designed with the active mode in mind.

Agree that playing near the bridge is crucial. But the v7 has different electronics from a classic JB, with a pickup blend selector instead of two separate volume controls.
