    It affects both.

Jerry is very highly regarded for these types of repairs. Unfortunately the phenolic does shrink over time pulling an imbalance in the entire neck. I view it as - it is an every 20 year maintenance issue and worth it to play modulus. I have a 94 guitar neck that has a wood board and it is as...

    GK MB800 "push" knobs stink!

Raising this thread from the dead to say thanks for this - exactly solved my "problem" with a few of the knobs not being as easy to engage the push-functions. Works perfect not. I would bet this is the issue that most are having. Silly design defect. It wouldn't take much of a bump packed in the...

Love the color! I hear nothing but great things about GGI, several Modulus converts who end up preferring them.

They do offer a satin finish, my flea has it while my quantum is gloss. I am also told that every neck is a little different since these are handmade, despite the carbon necks being made in a mold.

Yep It is what the market determined they were worth in their scarcity (some sold for much more when they were unavailable). Shipping is killer too. My total was 715.05 after tax and shipping. It sucks but it beats needing one and not having it. Some were listed at $1500 (originals) when they...

Not to everyone, I personally don't like it (even on my spector ns-2 where it is a defining characteristic). A lot of people like gold, a lot of people don't, it is just kind of polarizing.

This makes a huge difference. Just like the flea/funks - alternate pickup configurations, normal colors, bart pickups, 5 string version etc. all drive the prices down. The right combo (4 string, single MM pickup), color (anything flake) and electronics (lane poor/aguilar) in clean condition...

Awesome! I haven't heard that type of Lane Poor pickup but I am sure they sound great as well. Still some good deals to be had on the Quantums, I suggest snagging up a deal when one pops up. I got this one earlier this year nearly mint for a great deal. I switched to black Hipshot USA and Gotoh...

    Modulus Basses

Those days at those prices are long gone. Clean ones in desirable finishes and appointments are 4-5k now. I agreed to such a price recently and was outbid by someone else, I refuse to bid against myself after agreeing to a price so I let it go. A blue flake in good but not great condition 2003...

    Modulus Basses

Well I haven't gigged in years but have had mine for over 20 and am a huge aficionado of the model and always looking out for deals on them. I don't feel the least bit obligated to sell it since life has other responsibilities for me now and I can't gig regularly, if at all. Anyone can gig with...

Correct. Not cheap but the Modulus branded Legacy Lane Poor pickups are available. Showing out of stock currently but I know a fresh batch was just manufactured. No guarantee these will be available forever so I picked up one to keep for my next modulus or to just have another on hand. I ordered...

You might be referring to my post, which again I would consider a reliable source but it is still hear-say until we hear something official. I ordered a lane poor a month or so ago from planet bass and received it promptly, shipped direct from the LP shop. So there is SOME movement at PB who...
