    ***Club Verellen*** - Part Deux

I was considering this myself. I ended up keeping the pedal as well. It's nice being able to get "almost my tone" in pedal form if I'm going someplace that has a bass rig provided already. I say almost because as good as the pre + ss sounds, the full head does sound and feel that much better...

    CARPET vs TOLEX

Carpet works for me. No pets. Spilled beer on black carpet dried barely noticeable and hasn't gotten nasty after a couple years yet. Tolex slides all over the back of my SUV. I hate to hear the sound of my cab hitting things while I drive.

Yes it is. The Meatsmoke marketing material says "300 TUBE WATTS FOR BASS OR MASSIVE GUITAR" This leads me to believe it wasn't meant to be a bass amp specifically. Some guitar players buy it with no intent for using it on bass and some of us do the same with no plans for guitar. I...

One half stack to rule them all...(guitard content).

I just started guitar lessons a couple weeks ago and my bass rig looks very promising so far for double duty. Verellen Meatsmoke LDS 15/6 Will hopefully be testing it out in the next couple days at full volume with band. Figured I'd add my thoughts, even though I'm new at guitar and...

    Ampeg micro head 200W....recommended?

Thank you, I was hoping you would chime in on this. You always give good advice and feedback, especially about Ampeg. Thought I may have been pushing it too hard, but it really wasn't very loud. I know loud is subjective, but I read so many good things about the setup here on TB. Thanks...

    Ampeg micro head 200W....recommended?

I wanted to love my Micro VR/210av, but had to return it after using for 45 minutes. I am now wondering if I got a "lemon" and should give it another shot. The tone, size, and weight are great. My problems were multiple: could not get decent tone to keep up with quiet (really low...

I run it through a LDS 15/6. I play punk, garage rock, shoegaze, alt/indie/whatever rock. I've also run it through the following and they all sound fantastic: Ampeg 8x10 fridge Fender Neo 410 Verellen 4x10 GK 4 or 6 x10 (was at rented practice spot, don't remember) Couple other random...

I have a couple scratches/dents in mine and they are barely visible. I also have a padded cover made by StudioSlips that I use to transport. I usually go with all black, just my thing, but after seeing how the amps look with all the different stain options, they really are nice looking and...

I have a 100W Meatsmoke that is crazy loud and mean. It fit into the smaller of the two enclosures Ben uses as well, very portable, about 40-45 lbs. I jam/play/gig/whatever 2-3 nights per week and it is no problem moving around, including multiple stairwells. One trip carry sitting on top of my...

    fEARLESS F210

Has anyone run a guitar through one of these? I'm wondering if it is usable or if I should get the thought out of my head and just buy a different setup for my Jazzmaster. Of course being utilized primarily as a bass cab.
