Problem solved. The fan was the source of the excessive agitating buzz but oddly enough the sound of the fan intensified when the back grille was screwed all the way down. I loosened the back grille now the fan sounds normal and the annoying buzz is gone. Now I can enjoy the thing.

Haven't had the chance yet, but I will be taking it to a venue tomorrow night. I am in a older style home that is raised off the ground. I haven't had a similar problem with any of my solid or hybrid amps due to that, but this is a very different animal so to speak. Thanks for the reply.

Is it normal for these to have a low volume buzz? It's the first thing I noticed when I turned it on. I thought maybe it's the sound of the fan, but it's pretty annoying. I searched and found one other post asking the same thing but that person had other issues. My SB seems to work great except...
