Yeah, I've slowly reached the same conclusion. Six presets are a lot more appealing than two, and the real estate savings of the SB2 design will be wiped out by needing an adaptor. Looks like instant gratification (the BEF Pro is available right now) is the way to go. Thanks for your insights.

Thanks for the clarification, but the two BG250s I've tried had nada, zero, zilch treble control. I spent a fair amount of time experimenting with both passive and active basses, EQ combinations, comparing with that Uriah Duffy "tone contouring" video ... just about everything short of attaching...

Same here: I sent my back for a replacement last week, since I loved everything about the thing except the AWOL treble control, which is kind of a deal-breaker for a bass combo. It's a great little unit, but they've clearly got a problem with quality control. Looks like a whole factory run...
