here in the UK we can only really get hold of 2014 (which makes the faded a tricky buy), and even those have doubled in price.
many retailers that were selling '14 SG basses for £650 are now asking £1,100.
so i'm perusing the Link Removed as i do once a month, when i see their 2015 SG bass.
yes it has some upgrades but it's also double the price that they were asking last year.
what would have cost £650 before, is now £1,200! how do they justify such an outrageous price hike?
a lot of people lump up the extra cash for a MIA but any good example of a MIM P will last you a lifetime. they're workhorses.
mine was 9/10 straight from the factory.
too right. why do 90% of them insist on being so half-arsed?
there's 2 big ones in my city...neither of them even sell fenders; just off-brand products for far too many £s! it's like they're trying not to make money.
bass has been quite fundamental to music in recent years, and the stingray EQ cuts through a mix really well.
i notice precisions have taken off again over the past 5 years as well.
the stinger is nice, as are the other two, but if you have the spare dosh and you're passionate about it, get one. it's the original bass guitar after all.
the P's a must-have instrument for me, and i don't keep many.
why is everyone so fat in this day and age? it's not that hard to drop 5lbs every few months to keep it off.
i mean, honestly. what a strange time we live in where people can't even control what goes in their mouth...the way these guys have to wear their instrument right on top of their bellies...
the UK end will certainly pay import duty amongst other charges such as VAT.
there was an 1980's ibanez roadstar i was interested in on the american ebay, but it would have run me more than a USA standard fender by the time i got it here.
