    I currently own the TRB6MK2 and the TRB6PII and their both awesome basses. The TRB6PII is weighty but I love the sound of the Piezo pickups. When soloing the highs are incredible. It has a variety of tones and I can coax the most amazing slap tone out of it when I play fusion or gospel.

    KSD 705 Replacement bridge

    I would like a replacement neck as well and would like to know where did you guys find alternatives. I contacted Ken regarding a replacement neck but I am hoping to get a favourable answer from him.

    Ken Smith design (KSD) proto J bass. Opinions?

    I own one it had a problem with the preamp but now that it is corrected it sounds great. I own several high end basses and this is my favourite Jazzbass.

    Active bassists: Is a second bass necessary?

    It is necessary especially if you are playing live and if you are recording. Some producers prefer the sound of different basses with different wood, electronics and pickups ect. Therefore if you are a working session bassist you might need more than one bass.:bassist:
