:) Sorry, it's a mistranslation. Both keyboard and fingerboard translate to "tastiera" in Italian.

It seems a setup issue to me. I use them on a fretted bass with no issue, and rather had the opposite problem (too distant from keyboard) until I mitigated using the truss rod.

I'm still using them. I confirm a tension higher than I would like and short sustain when the string is not played open. Intonation is very stable after a very short settling. The sound is very nice.

As for Shortbassone loudness: I played the previous version unamplified along several soprano ukuleles, and it was loud enough. The new version should be even louder.

Ok, what about the sound of Reds compared to Blacks? Because tension and tendency to roll should be about the same. Do they only differ in sound and color, don't they? And reds sound is better for you?

Can you please explain a little more? Reds are better sounding but Thunder Blacks are the best one? Why? Thanks.

This is what I found about Galli UXB 810. Does anyone know what is the white thing on the saddle? I thought about a protection for different tension, but in other photos or videos there is nothing on the bridge. I asked them on their Facebook page but they're closed for summer. I also wonder...

I phoned Aquila when they came out, they told me they are exactly the same as Thunderguts, excluding color.

Did anybody try Galli UBX 810 Blacknylon or Dogal UBS162 metal strings? Any review or audio sample, or comparison with, for example, Pyramid? I could not find much online.
