    I have one of the older units and love it. Having the controls on the inside means I can just keep it in my gig bag without worrying about knocking dials about (no need for a case). Super functional and utilitarian.

    Fender American Standard Precision Bass Year to Year differences 1995-2008

    Probably too late for your video, but I believe that the 1995 Am Std Precision bridges were only string through body. I bought mine new and it's string-through only. Not sure when the dual string-through/top load option was added.
