I currently have a TC Electronic RH450, but I've been looking at these Quilters. How does the V803 compare to the RH450?

When you guys connect your line out on your amp to the sound system, do you like to send the signal pre or post EQ, and why?

I like my bass to sound like the low keys on a piano, and I haven't been able to get that sound with flatwounds. I've been using DR Sunbeams roundwounds for about 30 years. I like the growl I can get with them.

I didn't know selling used strings was a thing. When I put new strings on it's because the old ones are pretty much DONE. Who would want a set of used up strings?

I found my TC Electronics RH450 on reverb and I paid $350 for it. Deals can be found, you just have to be patient and keep looking.

Try replacing the capacitor in the controls circuit. Replace it with a .1 capacitor. The tone circuit is a Resistive/Capacitive band pass filter. Putting in a .1 cap will pass more lows.

Anybody know where I can get a Bassman, or Showman chassis? Mojotone used to offer Bassman chassis, but they no longer have them listed on their website. I'm looking to build a Showman if I can find a chassis.

I've shopped for fivers a couple of different times, and I've noticed that with the exception of a handful of manufacturers it's really hard to find a fiver with a 35" scale length. I've owned an ibanez with a 34" scale length, a Peavey Grind Bass V with 35" scale, a Johnson Catalyst with 35"...

For me it was the bass part in "Kicks" by Paul Revere and the Raiders. When it went into the chorus and the bass hit those really low notes I thought that was the coolest thing ever. I was 13 and learning guitar and wanted to switch to bass right then, but my dad made me stick with the guitar...
