    Fender Rumble Club

My music room is relatively small and I prefer the tone from larger amps, like my R500, played at low volume. But that’s me. Everyone is different. Plenty of folks here like the smaller Rumbles.

That custom "Pierre" amp logo is fun. Where did you get that?

Fender Rumble 500v3 Fan Noise - My Troubleshooting and Resolution Journey

I did not find the fan replacement especially complex or hard to reassemble. I would compare it to replacing a CPU fan in a desktop computer. But as @agedhorse stated, it all depends on your mechanical ability. As he has shared, he has had a lifetime of seeing and having to fix botched...

Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 3

Is anyone else using upper horn button extensions on their VM Jag SS? I've been infatuated with the VM Jag SS since I first saw one. I play standing, with a strap, neck pointed up ~45 degrees. From that position, all the VM Jag SS's I've tried (9 total) neck-dove. The necks didn't dive to...

Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar SS vs. Squier Sonic Bronco? - size and feel (not tone)

After playing them back to back, I agree completely with you @Sharko. Comfort The body and arm cutouts on the Jags allow my right arm to come across the front of the bass, the same way as my other basses, which feels very neutral and comfortable to me. The slab design of the Bronco puts my...

Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar SS vs. Squier Sonic Bronco? - size and feel (not tone)

I found a nice looking red VM Jag SS so I bought it. Then I found a black one and bought it, also. I sold my white Bronco a while back, so I bought a blue one. Side by side comparisons have begun.

Does more air movement provide a better low volume solo practice tone?

That's good feedback. I probably should have left out anything to do with that amp (and the Rumble 60v1) and just listed the 2-versus-1 large amp comparisons.

@pcake is your 7 pound Bronco made in China or Indonesia?

Does more air movement provide a better low volume solo practice tone?

Of course, this is the outcome that most of you predicted. But it was still fun and educational for me to run through it real life. 🤓 :bassist:

Does more air movement provide a better low volume solo practice tone?

More detailed version: Location was probably the biggest variable in tone, both amp location (including height) and where I stood listening in the room. Moving the amp(s) around the room and up and down, and even opening and closing the door to the room, changed the tone I was hearing. And...

Does more air movement provide a better low volume solo practice tone?

Separately: I couldn't get a tone I loved from the Rumble 40 (1x10). Unlike the larger amps, which have plenty of pleasant, non-boomy low-low bass below the frequency of the "bass" knob, the R40's bass knob controls its lowest frequencies, so turning down bass to reduce boominess eliminated...

Does more air movement provide a better low volume solo practice tone?

Thank you to everyone who replied to this thread. I bought 4 more amps and spent a lot of time experimenting. I had two Rumble 500v3 (2x10) amps, two Rumble 100v3 (1x12) amps, a Markbass CMD amp (1x15), a Rumble 60v1 (1x12), and a Rumble 40v3 (1x10). The experimentation was with the two...

Yes! The On-Stage RS7500 I tried is the tripod model on the far right in the first picture, and shown with the R500 in the third picture. It’s similar to the Ultimate 150 stand posted by @GonePlaid. My ProLine stand is the PLAS1, no longer available. The On-Stage RS7000 is similar, but...

Thanks Greg. I did! 😀 The single R500 and R100 (and Markbass) amps all sound marvelous 24” off of the floor on the ProLine stand. 🎸 I sold the second R500 and second R100 and the R60 and the R40. I did really like the R60, but it became redundant.
