Well, it could very well be that my multi-meter is out of spec. I'll bring another home from work today to verify. But yes I've noticed a guitar can I have below its rated 8 ohm load...

Hahaha yeah... that's what I said too. I think my multi-meter reads a little low, but not off toooo much. I plugged my speaker cable into the cab, then put the multi-meter right on the tip / sleeve as if it were going into the back of the amp.

I think using 2x2x10 would work very well. My previous gear was a 6x10 which was really 3x2x10's and it worked great. I built them for portability (carrying 3x2x10's is much easier than a 6x10 cab).
