Just bought a set of these at a local shop on a whim. The guy there recommended them for slap bass. These are discontinued? Will probably like them now! Did not put them on yet.

A good honest answer from someone who maybe is not as crazy a me. Lol I hear others say its completely silent and that is 100 percent false from my research.

If you can't hear it in a quiet room than the fan may be broken. There are no completely silent fans out there. I have listened to several in different stores. All the same. Sent a video to fender and they said that the sound is completely normal. It's a variable speed fan and you will hear it...

No Response yet. Guess they are working on it. I did take the amp to guitar center and compared it to the one in the store. Both fans sounded similar. Tougher to hear in the store with all the background noise. The issue is really just in a quiet room. It's like night and day at the store...

Yeah plenty of options there to try. I still don't like the noise though. Lol

Jaya Do you have the 500 or 800?

My central AC is way louder too. Not even close to that. Cant hear it while I am playing either but if I want to mic the amp for recording it will most likely pick up the noise during a pause. Could not hear it at all when i was playing with my band when we took breaks. Just in a quiet room...

Spoke to Fender tech support and they confirmed that the 800 and the 500 fans run constant at variable speeds. Sent them a short video of the noise. Will see if they respond.
