    blend pot problem

    Have you tried reversing the wires on just one pickup? I have 3 Peavey Foundation basses that I installed blend pots in. I had to reverse the wires from one of the pickups to get the result that I wanted.

    Am I maxing out my cab?

    Does your BBE Sonic Maximizer have a Lo Contour Knob? If so, does turning the knob to the left help fix the problem? You may want to check your manual to see if the Lo Contour is a bass boost (such as +12db @ 50hz as some models are).
