I just bought a 1999 5 string thumb neck-through on an eBay deal for $1400, plus S&H (1500 total). I wasn't prepared by how close to new this guitar looks and feels. It sounds, well, just awesome. Beyond my very bass-ic hobby thumb-ping, but definitely an instrument I look forward to growing...
