Sorry to bring up a old topic buuuuut The Band and Rick Danko were the whole reason I got into music in the first place. They'll always be my favorite band and Rick will always be my favorite bassist.

I started on that day aswell (We're also the same age). I learned from doing. My bass playing didn't advance until about two months ago when I joined a band. Since then I can sense my playing getting better.

I've got roughly around 25LPs and 20-30 singles. I've got some Beatles, Pink Floyd , Clapton , Stones and The Band Not bad for a 14 year old.

I just wish they didn't change the headstock. The headstocks on the newer models are terrible looking.

I'm Nathan and I'm 14. I've been playing bass since December of last year. I originally played guitar but I've come to like playing bass more than I do playing guitar. The bass I currently play is a SX BG2K in Lake Placid Blue, I bought it before SX changed headstocks to it has the older headstock.
