I have a Dunlop Bass Wah with "variable q" and volume. I like it, however I feel like it does cut your tone quite a bit — and I'm no tone snob.

What's the deal with this bridge? It's got some patina as you can see and it has no brand markings on it anywhere. It's heavy as well. Can anyone shed some light on who makes it and if it had an OEM application? Also, would it be an upgrade over a stock Squier bridge...?
