This is from where I buy most of my cables: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Should I get this for practicality's sake or should I just get 2 XLR Cables?
My basses have active EMG pickups. I'm planning on running both a EHX Battalion, which is my "amp" and a clean, passive Palmer DI for running both a distorted and a clean signal.
I wonder what cables I need to plug the Battalion and the Palmer DI into a mixer? TSR or XLR?
I've looked at different powered cabs like the ISP Bass Vector 210, and I wonder if it's possible to plug the output of the Battalion into the XLR with a 1/4 unbalanced mono jack to XLR guitar cable or if I have to use a cable from the Battalion's XLR/DI output?
I've taken a liking to the Sansamp VT Bass Rack, just for the tone and the simplicity. I wonder if, even when there are two guitarists with cabs on stage, is it necessary to have a bass cab too, in order to fill out the sound?
I've been wondering if it could be a good idea to use a miked bass cab, as well as a di to fill out the stage sound even when the guitarists are using processors or something like a Two-Notes Torpedo Live loadboax/speaker simulator.
I have a MXR DI+ that has a DI output/jack and I´m considering getting a Hartke LH500 that also has a DI output. I´ve read a lot that people who do live sound prefer a DI box/pedal to DI from a head for better sound, but what´s the difference between DI from a box/pedal and from a head?
