Yes they are (model specific) even the shaft,height,and alignment. I put one on my Squire also,thinking they were the same. NOT. But I did the mods to accommodate it anyway. I have even seen a 2 step down tuner,or maybe it is a 1 1/2 down. Anyway,they work great. Mine stays in tune on each...
