Yes. I'm not an expert at all in that area though. As far as I understand, resistors control how much signal is going through, and capacitors control the frequency content. I don't see any capacitors connected to rhythm switch. So it shouldn't change the tone at all, right?

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! That seems like an easy fix. Do you know what rhythm switch does with original wiring? Does it simply make it "one" louder? Also, can I use audio taper pot for volume control? I may not have time to go a store, and the pot I have is audio taper.
