    Double Bass Benedikt Lang bass

    This 4/4 "Benedikt Lang/Tornblad" looked much older than the 3/4 above. Benedikt Lang (Mittenwald) was a close friend of the bassmaker family Wilfer (Erlangen). They cooperated and made exactly the same models. You can't see any difference.

    Tornblad is a typical but not very common Swedish family name. The pics are from a Swedish bass repairman's shop repairing two old Benedikt Lang basses at the same time (2001). One 4/4 and a 3/4. The repairman had seen many Benedikt Lang basses, but only these two had the name "Tornblad"...
