I actually have another really good offer for a gibson sg bass so i might just get that instead

I have the chance to get a fretless Carlo Robelli bass for $100. I wanted a fretless and i think these retail at like 240 so its a pretty good deal. Has anybody had experience or heard anything about this bass? Is it good? Bad? or at $100 is it just worth the risk Thanks for the input, Pete

The local music store normally only has fenders, epiphones, schecters, and ibanezes.

I hear peavey is a really good company and my instructor likes his fury. I will probably get the jag though.

I actually have a nice amp (or at least the one i play on) so ill buy a better one later. I might go with the jag or maybe the matt freeman pbass which is like a remake of the 70s ps. The array attack is interesting but im not gonna from a company ive never heard of. Plus the chrome is too gaudy...

First off, I dont just have that much money to spend. I want a bass I can throw around and not be so paranoid about it getting a scratch. Second, after a certain point, you are just paying for the name or design and could easily set up a mid-range bass to sound like a higher end one. And third...

I want a good bass that comes that way. I dont want to be messing around with aftermarket parts because i have no experience and it would cost too much to have someone replace them. I know how to set up the strings and neck and things like that but no modifications.

Yeah it is at 400 but that is still a possibility

It only has 2 tone knobs though, which seems too simple. But if you say it can do the wide range of sounds, i'm in. That's what I liked about the Schecter, it could do both single coil and humbucker style. So with the 2 tone control knobs on the Jag can I completely turn on or off one pickup...

The Ibanez is interesting looking, but for some reason I just do not like Ibanezes. I've played a couple and never really fell in love with them. The Jaguar is beautiful but I don't really want another jazz bass, I want something more for rock. The Peavey is a possibility though...
