I cannot advise much but I have 2 basses before I decided to convert 1 of it to BEAD. After the conversion I have 1 in BEAD and another in EADG. This would be practical I would say. As my band do switches guitars for different songs tuning so I switch my bass accordingly as well.

There is this rehearsal studio which I go to, their bass rig consist of one bass head and two 4x10 cabinets. They only allow us to use 1 cabinet at a time. So in order to get a generally good bass tone shall I use the top or bottom cabinet?
