Got my first real bass amp today, the much recommended Rumble 40 v3. Lots to learn, both in terms of the amp and the bass itself (a Höfner Icon) with me on the fence towards upgrading to a Sire U5. (Guitarist with some hand limitations, thus short scale.)

I like your approach. And as I can read both tab and notation, this is very much worth considering.
