Amen! I wanna very small, very portable ultralightweight crane for hoisting anything over 10 lb.s! Yeah, back surgeries (and time) has really made a wimp outta me. Hoistin' a great-grand, and a few grand, kids at yesterday's 4-year-old birthday party didn't help my back one bit! But, it sure helped everything else, tremendously!!!

And, I've still got 20/20 vision, both near & far, after almost a year since cataract surgeries! The "Golden Years" ain't all dyspepsic and stove up!

Yeah, I remember when that first was suggested, I thunk on it, but with my short, fat fingers, I'd never get the tape on there. Paint? Maybe. But the S, F fingers are what inadvertently pushed CONTOUR to begin with. Oops!

Grateful for any advice on pairing 500c with extension cab. I'm looking out for a Rumble 210 but might need to move quickly. What plays well with the 500c in your experience? I'm open to 210, 410, or 115 as the extension cab. Cheers

Went to a "open mic/jam" thing-y today. @13bass was already there; I added my R100 to his R100. 2xR100s=sweet.

Blurry pic of my Rumble 500. I gigged with a Rumble 100 for 5 years in my previous band (mostly acoustic instruments). It's now my practice amp. Surprisingly even with my new band having drums, keys, and two guitars, I still only need to turn the 500 up about half way. Plan on getting an extension cab at some point just for extra oomph.

I'm currently experimenting with bypassing the Rumble preamp and running my Laney Digbeth Pre into the return input. Sounds great so far and I have fewer knobs to deal with.

It's your choice, Tom. All Rumbles (and, I suspect, Bassman amps & cabs, too) are specifically designed to play well and sound great with each other! If you have a personal preference, there's a Rumble (or Bassman) to fit it! Take your pick, it'll be terrific!!

I used to be an absolute 15" snob, until getting to know the R500c. Now, I would definitely get the matching 210 cab, if I needed/wanted something. (Plus the "coupling effect" of identical speakers.) But my Bassman 115 Neo is plenty for the few times I thought I needed a cab. But, truthfully, the R500c alone has always been plenty for me! And, unlike the R800c, the R500c is very well match to the Rumble 115 cab, if preferred!

I've just heard from our good Rumbling friend, Giffro, the Clown Prince of TalkBass. I'm sure many of you, like me, have missed his jokes & jibes the past couple years.

First our brother from down under tripped and got a really bad bump on the head a few years ago. Then, I believe, they interrupted his internet service quite a while for system upgrades, I think. Now he's fighting cataracts that actually make reading painful! But he gave me permission to "spill these beans" and send youse guys & gals his best regards 'til he can get fixed up and back in action again. He really misses us!

So, no need to tag him or DM him at this time. But if we all just send him our heartfelt thoughts and/or prayers for restored vision, then hopefully he'll be back amongst us, tickling the funny bones once again.

I use a Rumble 115 cab and get good volume, nice full bass and decent definition.

Lots to learn, both in terms of the amp and the bass itself (a Höfner Icon) with me on the fence towards upgrading to a Sire U5.

I got my new Rumble 800C today! I have the Rumble 100 for home and small gigs, and the 800 for everything else.

so far, I’m impressed with the 800C!

I have owned a Fender BXR200, and it has been more than enough for over 20 years, but I decided to upgrade to the Rumble Stage 800. My very first Fender Rumble amp! It is being delivered by FedEx tomorrow (Tuesday, April 4, 2023). I downloaded and read the entire manual and addendum in anticipation. I was wondering if there is a map somewhere of all the included presets, so I at least have an idea of where I'm starting from. The manual says it comes with 100 sequentially numbered presets, "and users can create and add even more." Is there a limit, or are you replacing some of the 100 with your own or downloaded presets? I guess I'll have to play with it to find out unless someone answers here. I love that you can make setlists and move presets around (renumbering them), that will be super useful. I'll probably just go through each one and "favorite" the ones I like the best, then go to the favorites setlist and create my own numbered lists from the ones in there.

I think the Sire U5 is hands-down the best bass for the money. Love mine! Go for it! And thanks for letting me help you spend your money!

Thanks G, interesting to hear you say a 15 pairs better with the 500 than with the 800. I wonder why. I am leaning towards a 210 and ideally a Rumble but I always buy 2nd hand so can't be too picky. Assuming that pretty much any 210 is going to be the best option. Thanks mate

The 115 cab is rated at 300watts rms, the 800combo will put out 400watts rms into the 8 ohm cab and could blow the speaker, the 500 combo puts out 250watts rms into an 8 ohm load so the 115 cab can handle the wattage

Of course my band only has 1 guitarist with 100 watts and 4x12 and super loud drummer, my darn Rumble 200 and 115 cab has always been enough stage volume. Holy crap what kind of volume can people play at, frikin 800 watts and it's not enough. I can't even turn my 200 watts up and everyone starts to cry, bass is all we hear, bass is bleeding through all the stage mics, waaaaaah ! LOL

I'm happy as a pig that you're getting such great results with your rig! I absolutely agree, and love my Rumble 500c & 210 ext cab and it is the rig of choice for all my gigs..However, as one of those people that participated in that thread, I also have a Mesa M6 and an SWR 410 Goliath and an SWR 610 Goliath SR...together that is 10 tens ...sometimes its a friggin' blast to bring that kind of firepower to a big outdoor gig, or even at the practice room where my guitarist's Marshall full stack lives...Hehehehehe Bring it on, Shredderboy!

I absolutely agree, and love my Rumble 500c & 210 ext cab and it is the rig of choice for all my gigs..However, as one of those people that participated in that thread, I also have a Mesa M6 and an SWR 410 Goliath and an SWR 610 Goliath SR...together that is 10 tens ...sometimes its a friggin' blast to bring that kind of firepower to a big outdoor gig, or even at the practice room where my guitarist's Marshall full stack lives...Hehehehehe Bring it on, Shredderboy!

Nice! But wouldn't fit in my Renault Clio.
