Oh yeah, I am looking at a Sansamp Vt or something like it. Not that familiar with the software magic. I saw Studio Devil Virtual Bass Amp ( SVT etc) that looks like an interesting inexpensive plug-in but have not seen any reviews or posts on it. Software vs Outboard , are they comparable?

Long time guitarist and no I am going to get a bass for recording but can't afford an amp right away. I am going to go direct in to an echo sound card. I am looking at Squire VM PB and also liked the Ibanez SR300. Not sure which one would be best for recording from a noise and tone standpoint DI.
