I picked up an old peavey micro bass at a pawn shop a few years back for around 20 bucks. I use it for practicing at home. I also like to stuff an sm57 into it for rough tracks. Sounds great.

Sorry, I meant 112's. I'm at about $2200 for the th500 and 2 of the aguilar 112's. Still checking out other suggested cabs though. Two 8ohm cabs at any rate.

Thanks. The reason I'm leaning towards the combo modular idea is so I can simply take it out of a van and it's ready to go. I don't see a bus in the picture any time soon, all van road time.

Do you think I am fooling myself in thinking the combo version, with the extra powered cab for outdoor, will suffice? Some great suggestions thus far. Thank you all.

The tone hammer looks like a possibility. 500@4 ohms would be plenty loud. 250@8 with a 2x12 makes sense for smaller clubs. Thanks for the reply

I would love that bass with the vintage frets. Those medium jumbos seem a bit much for that neck. Sexy bass though.
