    Would you play gigs with a band that doesn't have a great PA?

    Lousy PA's were the default setting for most "local" bands for decades. They were almost exclusively for vocals. I was probably on my 4th or 5th band before we even got monitors!

    I seen the Dead at least 7 times. I think they played "Truckin" maybe twice. But for most bands, it kinda goes like this.... Rock band: " Ok everybody, here's some from our newest album!". Audience: "You wanna go to the beer garden?".
