I want to try La Bella 750Ns on my SRH500F. I have not installed tapes on and am seeing weird advice on AI - such as add a drop or two of superglue or electric tape to the tape by the silk thread. Is this really needed?

just starting with pedals - used the keeley bassist and the boss oc-5 tonight during service. The Keeley bassist was fantastic - I don't know why I have waited so long to use this. The OC-5 worked situationally if done subtly but not always on like the compressor.
