Finally found the correct gauge rounds.. Hofner contemporary bass strings , 40- 95. Better quality strings definitely, but still have to tune up a little, all strings are a little flat. My tech said, " short scale basses are notorious for not staying in tune, especially sitting overnight "...

So true , After talking with my tech, he pretty much said the same. Put on new strings first, and sand down the back of the bridge a smidge..
