How do you prevent your Class D High Power Amp from Vibrating Off the Cabinet?

My Mesa WD 800 wants to vibrate all around and over the edge of my Ampeg SVT 4x10 cab even when its being used at a pretty moderate volume level. I can't believe I am the first bass player to confront this vexing problem and I am sure there is an obvious solution that I am missing which I will...

Help me transition from thumb playing style to finger style.

Is it clear he only uses his thumb? It almost looks like a version of travis picking on acoustic guitar where the thumb is used on the top two strings and the fingers are used in the higher range strings. It also seems kind of like a machine gun riff that would be hard to pull of just with thumb?

    EBMM Retro 70's Stingray Club

Here it is. I am fairly gobsmacked. Set up and intonation are pretty much perfect. It seems very well built, it feels like a custom shop type instrument. At the risk of being a heretic, I like it better than the original 77 that I stupidly sold. I will admit that I am not as much of a fan of the...

    EBMM Retro 70's Stingray Club

I just ordered sunburst from Sweetwater. I bought an original Stingray (Walnut finish, maple board) in 1977 that I regretfully sold in 1981 when I went to college. I started playing bass again a couple of years ago, and have been happy playing a PJ, but I got the itch and when I saw this bass...

American Deluxe P Bass (all passive) question

From what I can see on the interwebs, the limited edition had those words stamped on the neck plate. Mine doesn't so I'm going with 2000 Hot Rod!. This has been an interesting sleuth fest.

American Deluxe P Bass (all passive) question

Thank you all for sharing your wisdom on this question. I don't want you losing sleep so I will tell you that I still think I got a good deal even though it wasn't technically a "Deluxe." There are certainly Hod Rodded PJ basses from this era that are going for more than I paid. But screw money...

American Deluxe P Bass (all passive) question

Thanks B Mac! We are closer to solving the mystery. Seller on Reverb said it was an American Deluxe. I don't really care deluxe, superb, spectacular, whatever, I was just trying to figure out what it is that I really have. So I guess I'm now clear that it's an American Standard made in 2000...

American Deluxe P Bass (all passive) question

I just bought an American Deluxe P bass on Reverb. It is said to be 2010 vintage, ash body, rosewood board, but the thing that seems unique about it, as in I can't seem to locate another one like it, is that it's all passive. I has the regular split coil p bass humbucker and a single coil j bass...
