Fully agree to that. When playing three one hour sets, it's great to have a decent rig behind you; it is worth lugging it around. But mine is more modest than the one you posted :-)

Took some pictures from the inside. First impression: Best build amp I have ever seen! (I have seen a lot and have build quite some). Second: The dents in the covers of the PT and OT tell me that the poweramp chassis has been dropped or so... without actually hurting the amp! Third: R6, R7 and...

Thanks! No, unfortunately it wasn't a garage sale bargain. These amps are pretty rare over here (The Netherlands) and still quite popular. Keeps the prices pretty high.

Thanks for the pics. I am sure looking at the serial number (paper sticker serial #335637) and the empty frame on the far right where a skunkworks would say "Made in the USA...", that mine is an MTI. I will have a look at the dates on the pots and transformers to estimate its year of manufacture.

Any thoughts on the perforated back grille? It is painted black and has square holes. Never seen that on an SVT; all I've seen have round holes and no paint.

Right now, it is in my living room :D on a Schroeder 21012 cab. I will mostly play it on my SVT 215E. Next thing will be A/B-ing the 215E with an 810, if I can borrow one. And, of course, never without a cab. Another thing is that channel 1 has somewhat overkill on gain; it already grinds on...

Thank you; will check this out. The knobs on the MTI are a bit different since they have notch. However, almost anything would be better than the present V-marked one.

Just scored a killer SVT MTI era. Have played lots of amps over the years, but this one beats them all; the headroom is huge. I will check it out and bench test it later. For as far as I can see now, it is in very good shape.
