Hello I recently built two basses - a PJ and a P-Bass The PJ is still not done - the wiring I chose was very complex with a 4-position rotary - it worked but so far only the Neck-Pup works - but it sounds Great! very deep bass tones The P-bass on the other hand just lacks of a deep bass sound...

i have fader lube, should i spray some in?

oops Well I didn't see this in time. I used QD contact cleaner. seems to be fine, sounds a little better.

BTW: I'm sorta addicted to DIY in all its sad forms. Which is why, when I was gifted this amp as a guitar player without a bass, I immediately set out to make two basses for myself while I coulda just moseyed on down to GC and bought one for 1/10th price . . . it's an illness, but it results...

And yet again another many years later - with a really loud hiss and the volume seems to not change the volume: should I just open it up and change caps?
