The solution would be to remove everything from the switch then rotate it 180 degrees and solder everything back.

Doesn't matter because by bridging these two lugs together there's always going to be continuity between them regardless. Electrically they're the same lug now so which one you choose to connect your pickup to isn't going to affect the circuit.

I could be wrong but from here I don't see your pickup shielding being connected to ground.

Lol how about this: I like D'Addario tapewounds but of course you can't find them anywhere so I searched Amazon and found a set in medium scale that I immediately ordered... for 80$ after taxes. The silked portion starts so damn early on those strings, they would've been fine had I not installed...

Oh they do, I bought a lot of different Labellas in the past. I tried the flats, the rounds, the white tapewounds. The Dunlop were cheaper and are very tough. They last longer and they don't break. I just ordered two sets of Fender 100-24 rounds. Gotta buy them when you find them.
