Hi Steinberger bass fans! I fond some very cheap strings for headless guitars on Aliexpress such as below: 3.98US $ 49% de réduction|Alice – cordes de guitare électrique à Double extrémité sphérique, noyau en acier revêtu, en alliage de Nickel, adapté aux accessoires de guitare sans tête |...

    Modulus bass

Thank you for your answer. I disagree with you concerning the name of this bass. I think I m a correct when I say it is a 4 SP. Below is a link to the same model and it is called 4 SP and not monocoque: Modulus "Flight 4-SP" headless 4 string bass + custom HSC - extremely rare, 1983, black |...

    Modulus bass

This stick bass seems to be a Modulus graphite model Flight 4 SP. In my opinion it is probably the worst headless bass design ever because its design is so clumsy and cumulates bad ideas: it is an headless bass without the cool stuff and advantages. The tuning pegs are standard so nothing more...

Thank you but yes I tried finding the manual from Steinberger website and found this page but the links are broken for the Synapse Warranty Information, Synapse Parts, Synapse Re-Stringing and Synapse Set Up :( The only one that still works is for the Synapse bass diagram

I had previously a Hohner The Jack which had a switch to plug/unplug the active circuit. a red led was showing if the active circuit was on or off but in fact there was no need: you could easily hear the difference :)

Thank you for the info: I bought the bass in a second hand shop and got the bass and an empty gig bag from not a Synapse but a Spirit but no manual no instructions at all and so far I couldn't find any scan of the manual to understand that the circuit works only when a cable is plugged in.

I definitely confirm the Synapse is a professional instrument compare to the Hohner. The Hohner wasn't bad but the Synapse is far way better: more punchy sound, far wider range of sounds (thanks to the piezo that the Hohner doesn't have)

Hi all from France. I am fond of Steinberger for ages. Last week-end I found a Synapse XS 1FPA 4 strings and below are some pics for a comparison between the Synapse and the Hohner B2, copy of XL Steinberger bass. The Hohner on the left, the Steinberger on the right The Synapse weights...
