I agree with this. Music is about the music and the emotions it evokes in people. It's not about what you look like. This doesn't apply to American Idol or The Voice which aren't about music.

The music itself is very repetitive, there's some changes and dynamics in the vocals, but like Snarf said there's no development.

When playing the actual song while doing a cover, I would boost the volume of what you're playing so that you stand out more. If you're by yourself, you can leave your volume like normal. In the first video it's not easy to pick out your sound.

Just noticed it on Craigslist as well. Seems the person selling it "has no clue about musical instruments". The headstock looks like an Ibanez and so does the body, and my friend claims it's a knock-off. The clear tape or tape residue makes it even less appealing.
