    Small combo at home

If physical size is a big constraint, you may want to also consider phil jones bass stuff or the markbass 801.

    Owning Two Exact Same Basses

I think that would be sick if you want to experiment with different electronics, an apples to apples before&after testing setup

    Bright J bass pickups

I have a set of bootstrap low wind pickups on order, might be a great option! I've enjoyed their guitar pickups before, the quality is not in line with the low price. ~ $100 for the set including taxes and shipping...

    Sub-Short Scale Talk

Same here, no idea how i could do a neck with truss rod in my garage, but a body mainly needs a saw and router

These were parts basses when new - there was a pile of manufactured necks and bodies and fender put them together, sometimes with a big date gap between the body and neck. You should consider choosing a neck that works best for you and ignore date of manufacture. Full disclosure - I don't get...

Not sure if this is a dumb idea- would love comments on possible build

I used the nova headless tuners in a recent build - very nice!

    NB(vi)D - Bass6 content

Ash, and the pickup & control cavities are a chunk of the total area. Additionally, the forearm carve is pretty extreme

    NB(vi)D - Bass6 content

Solid body ~38mm thick, but specifically designed to be roughly a minimum size while being comfortable to play seated in classical position. The body itself is about 2 lbs. Scale is 30"
