Diesel Kilgore-Its a Kala Ubass. Its their base model with a spruce top. Its a cool 21" short scale bass with polyurethane strings. PWRL-I dont think any of the models come with pick guards. Although I think a tort guard would look kinda cool.

Thanks for the responses. I don't think its the action or relief I have the bass set up according to the recommended settings by ernie ball. If the bridge is slightly crooked how should I check that? Just eyeballing it looks ok to me SLaPiNFuNK-so you think I should just go to a lighter gauge...

Its funny the mtd is a 35in scale and the ray is a 34 so I would assume the mtd would feel as if it has more tension but the ray actually does instead. They are both tuned standard. I am also curious why the strings feel so different on both instruments.

I own an MTD Kz6 and I really love the bass. It plays like a dream and is actually surprising light. The electronics aren't the best I find them to be quiet at times. I would really recommend the bass though. I would try to find one used as you can get them a lot cheaper than the new price.

...that is so beautiful...and the push pull pot is an awesome idea. I say sell the house, get the bass and a tent haha.
