My current favorite bass is my Dingwall John Taylor 5 string.

As the owner of a gorgeous EBMM Special 5HH and a Dingwall JT 5 string, I would say they are on the level

I like all my basses but my Chinese Dingwall JT 5 string has dethroned all my others for top of the heap. They’re building killer stuff over there.

Yeah but when one of you usually always makes the correct choice, and the other one doesn’t, and then they get mad that you always make the correct choice, even though it’s also better for them, then what?!

I have a Stingray Special 5HH that I love. The B string is fine, but compared to the JT Dingwall, it’s not the same. The evenness of tension and clarity of sound is noticeable to me. Will an audience hear it at a bar gig in any meaningful way? Probably not. But for the player I have found it...

Yeah I don’t mind them either other than maybe a dot on the pickup selector so I can see what it’s on.
